About

Kayla Jenkins is a mixed media artist and photographer based in Brooklyn but born and raised in North Carolina. Constantly experimenting with new materials, she combines photography, drawing, text and printmaking in mixed media works. The subject matter of her work is varied and spontaneous, but she shows a definite inclination toward depicting the absurd, the ephemeral, and moments where the two coincide. Kayla graduated from Barnard College in 2011 and is currently working as an archives assistant for the Robert Rauschenberg estate.
